Fun City Motel
Sarah // Exile Boutique
My last day in Vegas and it a double shoot extravaganza!! This was the first shoot of the day, and I couldn't have been more excited about it. Sarah had reached out to me wanting to set something up before I left for Hawaii, and I knew her perfect Afro was meant for some rad 70's Vegas throwbacks! We got to coordinate awesome vintage threads from the mega rad Exile Boutique in old Vegas off Charleston. You can check out some of their awesome goodies here!
We shot at the PERFECT location over near the Stratosphere. One of my Blogger friends Alexandria Hamilton had shot there, and all I knew about it was that it was this iconic pink little motel located somewhere near Las Vegas Blvd. When I saw her photos, I absolutely knew I had to plan a shoot there before I left! I even messaged her getting the address and all. It was so ironic because I HAD to shoot with THE pink hotel, but while shooting we focused mainly on all of the red doors instead of the pink ones LOL (Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow and shoot what looks best with the wardrobe and the mood.)
Mid-shoot, we had the biggest scare because this security guy came over to us and started to get really angry, telling us what we were doing was illegal and that we had to leave immediately! I was freaking out because we had only shot one look at this point, and hadn't gotten all of the content we needed. He went on and on and we were going back and forth about it for a good few mins. Thankfully it turned out he was JOKING with us. He was good, definitely gave Sarah and I a panic attack. Hahaha Oh Vegas....
We got everything we came there for, and ended the shoot with one last shot of the reflection of the Stratosphere in Sarah's sunglasses before rushing off to 7/11 for Slurpees and some much needed hydration from the Vegas heat!
