Me in RED?!?… a Selfie Fashion Shoot Series from 2024 London Fashion Week!

My 2nd day back in Bali and…

…being Art & creating Art at the Artist Inn Residency, Bali…

…I grabbed my (still packed from the Burn) accessories suitcase down to the El Dorado Dry Lake (Playa dust coated boots included) and together, we made the vision happen!

… Days can be filled with free ramen, almost heat stroke, painting random objects, climbing art, bicycling miles, riding random art cars, laughs, naps, parties, intellectual conversations, meditations, dancing, neon, machines that throw fire, so much dust and sooo many lights that can probably be seen from the moon. And that’s just until dusk on Day 1.

… It was literally one of the most mystical places I'd ever seen. I knew as soon as I gazed upon the valley of the Africa trees that looked like the Land Before Time, I had to plan a shoot there.

… Globalization is all around us, it's in our IG feeds, magazines, daily emails, news feeds, and all across the internet. With the world becoming more and more connected everyday, this is an obvious and logical after effect. It demands our attention to crave summer in winter, and the other way around, to be the perfect snow bunny AND the perfect beach babe all in the same week!

… I got lost one day wandering around the beaches of Waikiki and sort of stumbled into the local boat harbor and yacht club, I was surprisingly inspired by the messiness of all of the ropes and sails and notions of a wanderlust sea escape.

… Gold, dark, orange, black, and sparkly tones, in addition to some really fun twinkle lights, a pumpkin, some spider webs, and a candle (cuz you can't have spooky without candlelight!)

… This security guy came over to us and started to get really angry, telling us what we were doing was illegal and that we had to leave immediately! I was freaking out because we had only shot one look at this point, and hadn't gotten all of the content we needed.

… I took the trip up to Salt Lake City spur-of-the-moment (and also totally like me) JUST to shoot with Lacie in the beautiful iconic wildflowers of Albion Basin in full bloom before they withered away in the approaching cold weather of the fall.

… Paula is a total gem, she was Miss Peru and Miss Swimsuit International 2014 and is now a TV Host in Australia! (Not to mention her 1.8 Million Followers on Instagram!)

… Just wandering around Fremont, we found inspiration as we went along. There were a bit of lights, a lot a bit of gold plated reflections, and some sprinkles of clinging slot machines.

… After chasing the last bit of light running down train tracks towards the Rocky Mountains, we ended the evening at Starbucks, sipping Chai and selecting our (legit) hundreds of favorite images from the shoot.

… I have personally spent several winters chillin' out snowboarding and living the snow bunny lifestyle in these very same mountains, it's a place that always calls my heart back every single year around winter time
